What we check
- Page titles and meta descriptions, the ones people see in Google
- H1 headings - whether the page says what it is about at all
- Canonical URLs and noindex tags that hide a page
- sitemap.xml and robots.txt
- Structured data that tells Google you are a business
- Image alt text and whether the page is built for phones
- Whether the phone number can be called with one tap
What we cannot measure
- page weight and load time
- content sliding sideways on a phone
- whether buttons are big enough for a fingertip
- what is visible on the first screen, before scrolling
These need the site opened in a browser and measured at several widths. We do that by hand in the full audit - say the word if you want it.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no card, nothing that commits you. In return we get your email address and the chance to write to you - and if you would rather we did not, say so and we delete your details.
Why not just show the audit on screen?
Because it is yours. Sending it by email means the owner of the site receives it, not whoever typed someone else's address into a form. It also stops the page being used to scan other people's sites in bulk.
How many pages do you check?
The homepage and up to five more, found in your sitemap or among your links. The email says exactly how many it was - we never generalise a number to the whole site.
Will you send me marketing afterwards?
No. You get the audit, and if we hear nothing we may write once to ask whether it helped. That is all. Opting out is one line in a reply.
What if my site is fine?
Then that is what we write. The audit opens with what already works, and if there is nothing major it says so. We have no reason to invent problems - the site is yours and you can check every number.
